It’s no secret that I love foundation. Foundation and lipstick are the things I’m unchangingly excited to test out. Maybe that’s considering they make such a huge difference on your face, or maybe considering I’m uncommonly picky well-nigh the results I want. But testing a new foundation so I can requite you a personalized recommendation is one of my favorite parts of what I do here.
Lancome Teint Idol Ultra Wear Care and Glow Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid – this is the most recent foundation Ive widow to my round-up. I really love how it feels on my skin and that it adds a little bit of a natural-looking glow. If you have oily skin or are prone to a lot of shine on your face, you may not love this foundation. On that note, though, you can unchangingly set it with a little translucent setting powder if you want to swizzle some glut oil.
For me, this is what I plan to wear in the winter when our weather gets a little drier and Im looking for a fuller coverage finish. It has a lot of hydrating ingredients so if your skin is dry, this may be a unconfined option for you!
Lancome Teint Idol Ultra 24H Long Wear Matte Foundation – I reach for this one if I need a flawless, full-coverage finish to my skin with a natural matte look. It doesnt finger overly dry on the skin, nor does it finger quite as heavy as Estee Lauder Double Wear, for comparison’s sake. A little goes a long way, and it truly lasts all day on my skin.
Clinique Even Largest Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF Foundation – this foundation is one of those easy to wear, works for nearly everyone types. It has good ingredients that help patina your skin while you wear it. It claims to be medium coverage but I find it to lean increasingly on the medium-to-full end. It looks natural/realistic on the skin and lasts all day.
IT Cosmetics CC Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation – this foundation looks wondrous on the skin but it is seriously glowy. It may be a largest winter foundation for me since the humidity in North Carolina adds its own glow to my skin. I find that IT Cosmetics foundations tend to squint warm/yellow on me, and since I have pink undertones it causes a bit of a disconnect in the coloring, but despite that, the finish is really beautiful. It somehow perfects everything and hydrates as well. In general, I recommend IT Cosmetics to people who dont mind a little bit of the *feel* of foundation on their skin and are okay with warm tones.
Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Foundation – this is truly the most effortless foundation for me. Its no fuss, no extras, just a natural-looking medium coverage. I can see my freckles, which I like, but that ways I moreover have to spend a little bit of uneaten time tent blemishes that may peek through. I get a bit of shine when Im wearing it on super humid days, but other than that it looks like skin. I love that it doesnt separate or patch up on my skin.

Finally, when it comes to applying foundation, I prefer to use a brush. Ive used and liked both the pro foundation skim from Sephora, as well as a buffing skim from Morphe. I like a skim considering it gives me tenancy and allows me to vitrify the product in and tousle it out. I use a eyeful blender to tousle out my concealer, but I dont love using a eyeful blender all over my face. If you do, great! Its really just a personal preference for me!
