Hello friends. I hope you’ve been doing well. Today my friends and I will be sharing various upkeep friendly fall decor ideas which I hope you will love and find useful. Please make sure you visit my friends listed at the marrow of the post.
You might have seen an influx of increasingly raw and organic pottery spring up in decor. Pottery Barn has a trappy selection, however, shipping to canada can get plush so I decided to DIY my own terracotta pot.
You will need some white paint, brown paint, sultry soda and old skim and flour.
Start by mixing the paints and the sultry soda together. The increasingly sultry soda you use, the increasingly texture.
I unliable my paint to dry but in hindsight, I would have unromantic the flour while the paint was a little tacky so it would stick without using an adhesive.
I used some of this varnish I had but you can use spray wrapper or modpodge. Anything that will make the vessel a little tacky.
I unromantic the varnish and covered it with flour. You can use as much or as little as you wish.
This is how it looked at the end. I think I’m going to add a little increasingly flour to tone lanugo the orange a little more.
But I think that it definitely looks like terracotta. Don’t you?
I will be sharing flipside DIY similar to this later on this week. In the meantime, I hope you have a trappy rest of your week.
A huge thank you to my friend Kristen for putting this hop together.
much love,
Lucy
