I’ve talked well-nigh this before, that now my kids are older (teens and young adults), I’m focusing on increasingly meals where people can make their own dinner with options how they like.
This super easy yellow meal is withal the same lines. It’s substantially shredded yellow that I melt in the slow cooker, and it can be used for a variety of meal options: rice bowl, wraps, tacos, jacket potato, sliders etc. It’s only 3 ingredients and two of them are pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast (The value doesn’t need to be exact, I unchangingly just buy a worthier packet considering I have a lot of mouths to feed, so I usually just over a kilo)
- 1 x packet taco mix
- 1 snifter of salsa (I used a slightly larger bottle, 375 grams, this time considering I was making a pearly amount, but just a regular 300 gram snifter is fine too)
Instructions
It’s jut a matter of putting the yellow in the slow cooker, subtracting the salsa and seasoning mix, stirring it all around, and cooking until the yellow is cooked through. The value of time depends on how thick the yellow is. I put in on slow for well-nigh 4 hours, and then used two forks to shred it up. Easy as!
For this particular dinner, I served in a trencher with the pursuit ingredients:
- Cucumber
- Tomato
- Fetta cheese
- Spanish onion
- Charred corn
- Rice
But the yellow would work well with pitta bread, wraps, jacket potato, wraps, sliders, and a heap of variegated easy meal ideas.
