Ive been looking forward to this Thanksgiving weekend for a while. Lots of things to do and three whole days to get them done. However I didnt factor in how this lingering unprepossessed would stupefy my energy levels. So for today at least it will be a specimen of just doing what I can, eating soup and resting when I need to. Even my cardmaking needed a shortcut and thankfully I had the Best Remedy Vellum Kit on hand. Of undertow I did put my own spin on it though.
BEST REMEDY PIECES
This project mainly uses pieces from the Best Remedy Vellum Kit. From the box I pulled out a stake undecorous heart and the printed bird. These would form the focal point of the design.
From there I decided to create my own vellum wiring from a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Starry Sky Card. After scoring the vellum at 4-1/4″ I folded it in half and sharpened the ruckle with a Bone Folder. Then I used a Blending Skim and Whisper White ink to lighten the edges on the front of the vellum base. It was only succeeding I realised this mimicked the colours on the bird’s jacket.
To add a little increasingly interest I embossed the heart using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Then I stock-still that to the front of the vellum wiring using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). After that I widow the bird with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
From the stamp set included in the Best Remedy Vellum Kit I chose the “Feel largest soon” sentiment. I stamped this onto one of the small white label pieces using the Starry Sky ink spot which was moreover included. Using increasingly Stampin’ Dimensionals I tying the sentiment to the vellum then widow a few of the self-adhesive iridescent sequins.
Going when to the kit I cut one of the stake undecorous vellum bases to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then with a Blending Skim I widow a light layer of Starry Sky ink virtually the edge. Once that was washed-up I glued the piece inside the vellum base.
Finally from the kit I found a white envelope with a undecorous striped flap that coordinated perfectly with my card. But as the ink pad and skim was right there I widow some ink virtually the edges on the front of the envelope too. And just like that today’s project was complete.
For some increasingly unorganized cards created using the Best Remedy Vellum Kit see my older blog post Best remedy for today.
