An Adult-Friendly Suncatcher Craft
I created these repurposed CD suncatchers with my pals during a women's craft night a while ago. This adult craft project was so much fun that I decided to do it again. But instead of making a conventional suncatcher, I wanted something different and a little more sophisticated. A do-it-yourself suncatcher that would serve as seasonal home décor in addition to looking fantastic placed in a window. That's how my DIY suncatcher terrarium concept came to be.
In a Facebook group, I just came about an adorable kids' suncatcher project. Seasonal botanicals were sandwiched between sheets of translucent contact paper. Two paper plates with holes cut out in the middle formed a frame around the preserved botanicals. I like the concept of creating a suncatcher using seasonal plants and other organic materials. But I wanted a grown-up version of a suncatcher project that didn't need popsicle sticks or paper plates.
